Poetry is my passion. It is the first thing I go to in the morning and the last thing I steep myself in at night. ​

In a modern world where technology has afforded us the opportunity to connect globally with others,

loneliness has reached epidemic proportions.

Poetry is the magic elixir, offering us a way back to ourselves, and to each other​.

I find inspiration in the beauty of the mundane, the natural world around me, and in the complexity and resilience of the human spirit. 

It lies in the flickering shadows on a tile floor, in the tired eyes of a stranger, and in the straight lines and solitary stillness of a building illuminated at dawn. Poetry nourishes, heals and gives us a space to breathe.

My work has been published in issue four, of " The Scissortail Quarterly Magazine," in issue one and three of 

" The Winged Moon Magazine," and in the first and second issue of " Azaro Literary Journal."

I co- authored a poetry book , " When Fold and Vine," and my debut poetry collection, " Open Palms," were published by " Cast Iron Poetry - Time is An Ocean Publications." You can find my samples of my poetry, prose and painting on Instagram @mar3plus3 and on Substack. 

When I'm not writing, I'm painting.

I sell my watercolour greeting cards here in Toronto, soon to be made available for purchase online.​

In my free time, I enjoy walks with my rescue dog, Duke, and spending time with my family.
